About Jed
Jed was born in rural Wisconsin, and traveled to the west coast for his education. He was active in high school as the student body president, and captain of the football team. He received an Associates Degree in Fire Science, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Fire Service Administration. Jed has over 25 years of experience as a career officer in the fire service, working in the second largest fire district in the state of Oregon.
He has three grown children, and followed his parents teaching path, instructing medical and safety classes for the past three decades. Jed is an avid woodworker and has volunteered his time with numerous local and national non-profit agencies, including Medical Teams Northwest, Global Mission Readiness, and Habitat for Humanity. He is active in his local church, building homes in Mexico on a regular basis. Jed is an amateur illusionist, and uses his skills to convey the mission of F.F.A.D.D. to individuals and groups. His passion is to share his experience, and convey hope to communities everywhere.
